Lucy Green
Psychologist
Master of Professional Psychology
I am a registered psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and their
families.
I have always been curious about people and what shapes the way we think, feel,
and experience the world. Psychology felt like a natural fit because it brings together so many of the things I enjoy and it is a career I genuinely love.
One of my favourite parts of my work is getting to know children and young people beyond the reason they have come to see me. I love hearing about what interests them, what excites them, what they are proud of, and the people who matter to them. These conversations tell me so much about who they are and help guide the work we do together.
Getting to know the people around them is just as important. Parents and caregivers bring such a valuable understanding of their child, and I enjoy working together to
build on strengths, make sense of challenges, and celebrate progress along the way.
What I continue to love about psychology is that no two days are ever the same. Every child, young person, and family brings their own experiences and perspective, and I always enjoy the opportunity to keep learning through the people I meet and
work with.

More About Lucy
Growing up, I was encouraged to stay curious and embrace new experiences. I explored a wide variety of interests, from learning the flute and performing in an ensemble to swimming, netball, dancing, theatre, public speaking, arts and crafts, gardening, and photography. This nurtured a lifelong love of learning, creativity, and personal growth, qualities that continue to shape both my personal life and my work
as a psychologist.
Outside of work, you will usually find me spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to music, journalling, attending live shows, competing in trivia nights, or relaxing at home with my cat.

Something People Wouldn't Guess About Me:
I have always been drawn to
nostalgia and love finding ways to preserve meaningful memories. Whether it is
taking photographs, creating photo albums, or collecting little keepsakes like
earrings, ‘Jellycats’, vinyl records, or concert tickets, each one reminds me of a
special person, place, or moment in time. I love how something so simple can
instantly bring back a feeling and remind me of moments that have brought me joy.
