
Psychologist Position
(Part Time with potential to grow to full time)
Spark for Life psychology is a practice offering assessment, counselling, parent support and group programs to kids and families with an emphasis on supporting neurodiversity. We are striving to build a caring team of professionals who are passionate about helping kids and their families and providing quality healthcare.
We have a strong referral base and are looking for experienced psychologists to join our team to provide quality services to our families.

Essential criteria:
-
Recognised qualification as a Psychologist with AHPRA registration
-
Medicare provider
-
Strong clinical experience, at least 5 years’ experience (minimum of 2+ years’ experience working with children)

Experience working in a multidisciplinary team

Experience with assessment and diagnosis of child development difficulties (ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties) on the job training, supervision and support available.

Experience working with neurodiverse children is highly regarded
-
Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Excellent time management and prioritization skills with an ability to work flexibly

Sound clinical reasoning for planning and implementing individual therapy sessions

Private indemnity insurance
-
Working with Children Check, Police Check, First Aid certification
That little Extra:

Experience running group programs or have interest in co-facilitating groups

Experience working with neurodiverse children is highly regarded

Training in Circles of Security, Theraplay, Play therapy or ACT
-
Have a passion for a particular area, tell us more, we’re all about passion
-
Interest in working after hours or weekends is desired but not essential

Want to develop skills in assessment – training and supervision can be provided on the job
What we offer:

Above award wage commensurate with qualification and experience (Starting salary ranges from $102,000-113,000)

Additional 2 weeks annual leave (total of 6 weeks paid annual leave) and flexible working hours
